Smartline Alu 400

A recreational and touring kayak from Klepper, the Smart Alu 400 tracks very well and is nimble on water. It is light, easy to assemble, packs in a small bag and weights only 14kg (31 lbs). If you are looking for the same alu frame with a tougher hull that can endure wider temperature variations and up to class 3, the Klepper Aerius Sprint 400 is an option.

The Klepper aluminum frame not only has exceptional Klepper quality, but incorporates important customer-based improvements from the previous 'Alu-Lite' model. The frame is easier than ever to put together!

Assembling the Sprint/Smart Alu Frame outside the skin

Standard features on the Smart Alu 400 include:

  • blue reinforced PVC hull with 2 air sponsons
  • black deck
  • ultra-light aluminum frame
  • keelstrips 1" x 2.4"
  • molded foam seat and backrest
  • perimeter safety line
  • thigh braces
  • wood cockpit combing (instead of Carbon like the Sprint 400)
